Simply the best…

Ahhhhhhhh where do I start? Okay, I know. July 2019 when I first received a wedding enquiry from Mia and William. I honestly remember looking at my diary and PRAYING that I was free because everything about this wedding sounded incredible.

The plan – to have a very, very relaxed wedding at William’s family home, avoiding the formalities of a traditional wedding. The boys would be in military uniform. Travelling in a baby pink VW camper van which doubles up as a photobooth. An afternoon tea reception. Oh and they would be driving into their reception on the back of a tractor. Sound good? Yep. Thought so.

I was so, so excited to meet these two for their engagement shoot earlier this year. I met them at the farm, along with their crazy vizsla Ava. We had an absolute blast, plus they are pretty decent to look at which is always a bonus.

On the lead up to the wedding, it’s safe to say I had pretty high expectations. And let me tell you, it did not disappoint. I’m happy to say this was my favourite wedding to date. Simply the best. The main reason for that being how much FUN I had! From the moment I walked into bridal prep until the moment I drove away from the farm, I have never laughed so much at a wedding!

Mia was getting ready with her mum and two sisters, who were all just as nuts as each other! I LOVE these guys so much. If they are on the lookout for a fourth sister, I would be more than happy to apply. What an amazing family.

It was a morning of bras being chucked across the room and lost fake eyelashes. Not the most conventional of wedding mornings but equally one of the best. Once Mia was ready, we did a big reveal to her dad and it was sooooooo emotional! Easily one of my favourite moments from the entire wedding.

The girls hopped in Birdie (the campervan!), and headed off in style to the church.

Once we arrived, we realised that William’s brother and best man Sammy had surprised everyone by turning up. Being in the army, he wasn’t able to get the time off for the wedding, BUT he moved heaven and earth to be there which was just unbelievably special. It was so lovely to witness his sisters walking up the aisle seeing their brother at the end of it!

The ceremony was beautiful, and it was hugely entertaining when William’s nephew decided to take centre stage and crawl down the aisle! After the vows, with everyone just managing to hold it together, Mia and William walked down the aisle as husband and wife! Wooooohooo!

The newlyweds exited the church to a guard of honour courtesy of the army lads, then ran like the wind through a whole load of confetti (clearly very excited to finally be husband and wife!!!!). All of Mia & William’s guests slowly made their way back to the farm for the reception, but we hung back, ready for the entrance of all entrances..

Yes that’s right. They were driving in on a red tractor!!!!

It looked bloody amazing, and it was an absolute workout running behind it taking photos of the crazy couple! But soooo worth it. All the guests were waiting and cheering on the newlyweds as they came over the hill and down onto the farm.

After some drinks, lots of cuddles and some family photos, it was time for the afternoon tea! All the guests tucked into the beautiful food, and were treated to some epic speeches courtesy of Mia’s proud dad, William and his brother Sammy.

There were so many lawn games which kept the guests thoroughly entertained, particularly the tug of war which saw a bride vs groom showdown!!!

Everyone was READY for a party, so by the time the first dance came around, everyone was in such high spirits. It was so amazing seeing such a full and happy dancefloor, and no one held back. Mia & William were even lifted into the air at one point which was bloody amazing!

Thank you to the most amazing couple for the BEST wedding. I cannot tell you how much I enjoyed this day. Both photographing and editing it was an absolute dream, and it’s certainly one I’ll never forget.

Shoutout to all the wonderful suppliers for Mia & William’s wedding day!
