It doesn’t get much more special than getting married at your home surrounded by all your closest friends and family. Well that’s just what Amy & Ollie did. And what a wedding it was!

This was one of those days that I just wish I could relive over and over again. I have never smiled so much when editing a wedding! I’ve never seen such a proud father as I saw in Amy’s dad. Something that really stood out to me at this wedding was just how many close friends and family were present. Ollie mentioned it briefly in his speech how lucky they were to still be so close to all their friends from home. It really was lovely, and just goes to show what a special couple these two really are. Friends and family are clearly such a huge part of their lives and that just totally shone throughout the day.

When I arrived at the house on the morning of the wedding, everyone was bustling around getting the finishing touches ready for the guests to arrive. Amy and her bridesmaids were all getting ready upstairs which was great as we could spy on everybody arriving!

If I had to describe this wedding in just one word I think I would choose ‘emotional’. It was such a beautiful moment when Amy presented her bridesmaids with gifts and handwritten letters just before the ceremony. Absolutely everyone was in tears and Amy still had to open her present from Ollie! Once Amy was in her dress, we headed downstairs to show her dad. Oh my goodness me, what a moment. I have never seen such an emotional reaction. It was honestly magical. I was in tears, Michelle the wedding planner was in tears, all the bridesmaids were crying!

When Amy walked down the aisle with her dad the whole room just lit up. What a truly beautiful bride she was. Helen, Ollie & Amy’s celebrant, delivered a really beautiful service. Once the ‘I do’s’ were done, it was time for a glass of fizz!

All the wedding guests gathered outside the home and welcomed the newlyweds with a whole load of confetti! Luckily the weather held out for a few hours of mingling in the great outdoors!

Once everybody was seated for some amazing food, it was time for the speeches. As you can imagine, the father of the bride delivered the most emotional and beautiful speech! He was just bursting with pride for his daughter and it really was so special to listen to. No father of the bride speech is complete however without some embarrassing moments! Amy’s dad decided to bring out the big guns with some embarrassing baby photos which got everyone laughing. Although I must admit Amy was a very cute baby!!!

After everyone had enjoyed some delicious food, a vintage bus came to take everybody to the evening reception! We all headed to The Fleece in Addingham and everybody got their dancing shoes on! I am always a very happy photographer when all the guests totally go for it on the dancefloor.. and boy did they go for it!!

What a wedding. The biggest thank you to Amy & Ollie for allowing me to capture your special day. You guys are a truly amazing couple and I’m so pleased I’ve had the pleasure of getting to know you both 🙂
