I am absolutely over the moon that this amazing wedding was such a personal milestone. Pete & Bekki’s wedding over in the Lake District was my 100th wedding, and I couldn’t have hoped for a better day! Well, perhaps with slightly less crazy weather..

Arriving at Londlands in Cartmel on the morning of the wedding, it was typical Lake District rain. Everyone was still in such high spirits which was amazing, and there was such a buzz about the day ahead. The lovely Bekki was getting ready with her bridesmaids, and there was fizz popping left, right and centre!

I took a bit of time to have a look round the grounds on the morning of the wedding. I was totally blown away with what they’d done with the place! Having visited the venue a few months before with Pete & Bekki, it was a bit of a blank canvas. But the effort they had gone to to transform the place was just incredible. There were fairy lights everywhere, the most gorgeous flowers, and so many little personal details scattered around the room.

Once Bekki & the girls were all ready, we headed across to the ceremony where Pete was patiently waiting for his beautiful bride. Luckily the clouds parted just in time for Bekki to walk in with her bridesmaids.

Once the “I do’s” were done and dusted, it was time to pop open the prosecco! All the guests headed outside to welcome the newlyweds with a whole load of confetti. It had been forecast to rain for the entire day, but it held off long enough for everyone to enjoy the beautiful surroundings in the heart of the Lakes.

After some amazing speeches, Pete, Bekki & their guests all settled down for some food. As the room was being transformed for the evening, everyone had a little surprise when the power suddenly went down! We had the most almighty thunder storm, but even without any electricity, it was the most amazing atmosphere. Everybody lit some candles, used torches on their phones, it really was so cosy.

An hour or so later and the lights were back on, and we were treated to the most incredible rainbow over the hills.

Pete & Bekki started the evening celebrations with their lovely first dance, and everyone else soon followed suit and hopped onto the dancefloor.

This really was such a brilliant wedding. Pete, Bekki & all their family and friendly are just the loveliest set of people. What an honour to be part of such a fab day.
